The clips on these are not heavy duty. They are designed to be used on a small amount of hair that is already tied up and held together using a hair tie. It is recommended to ensure longevity of the clip you either pop the clip through part of the hair tie, secure it and put your pony tail into the net, or secure the clip to a small amount of hair above the hair tie, then put the pony tail into the net.
